Unfortunately we will need to cancel the May 28th Gymkhana. Valley County Planning and Zoning will no longer allow these Gymkhanas without getting a conditional use permit.
Also, sadly our facility usage calendar was misconstrued. We have never charged anyone to use the arena. We have welcomed with open arms anyone who wants to come out and use the facilities and never charged anyone. We created the calendar in hopes that we could save many of you the hassle of coming over and finding that the arena was in use and to save us time in trying to communicate if it was being used. Sadly it was misinterpreted and so we will shut that calendar down as well. Jones Land and Livestock Inc. is still very much a private agricultural business.
We are saddened that we are no longer able at this time to provide this fun public service and hope that other opportunities will arise for everyone interested in horses and improving horsemanship can come together and help each other. Our sincere thanks to all those that have participated and offered their services in order to make this such a fun and successful learning opportunity for the kids. Our best wishes to all of you.
